- General Terms
Journeys2Germany provides customized travel planning, itinerary design, and on-the-ground services in Germany and surrounding regions. By booking with Journeys2Germany, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.
- Itinerary Design & Services
Journeys2Germany specializes in curated, custom itineraries designed specifically for each client. Services may include accommodations, private transfers, guided experiences, restaurant reservations, and other travel-related arrangements through trusted local partners.
A planning or design fee may apply depending on the complexity of the itinerary and will be outlined in your proposal.
- Booking & Confirmation
A booking is confirmed once:
- The Terms and Conditions are signed
- The required deposit is received
Upon confirmation, a binding agreement exists between the client and Journeys2Germany.
- Pricing & Currency
- All pricing is calculated in Euros (€).
- The total is converted into U.S. Dollars (USD $) using the current foreign exchange (FX) rate at the time of deposit.
Important:
- The USD amount invoiced reflects the FX rate at the time of deposit.
- If the FX rate changes prior to final payment, pricing may be adjusted accordingly.
- Any adjustment will be communicated with a minimum of 60 days advance notice prior to final payment.
Journeys2Germany is not responsible for fluctuations in currency exchange rates.
- Payments
- A deposit is required to confirm all bookings.
- Final payment is typically due 60–90 days prior to departure, as outlined in your invoice or contract.
- Failure to make payments on time may result in cancellation and loss of deposit.
Some services (such as luxury hotels, event tickets, or peak-season bookings) may require higher deposits or full prepayment.
- Changes to Itinerary
After confirmation, any requested changes must be submitted in writing.
- Changes are subject to availability
- Additional costs may apply
- Supplier penalties may be passed on to the client
Journeys2Germany will advise on feasibility and pricing before changes are confirmed.
- Cancellation Policy
All cancellations must be submitted in writing.
- Deposits are non-refundable.
- Deposit amounts typically range from 25%–30% of the total trip cost. Any exceptions will be clearly communicated in writing via email.
- During peak travel periods (including but not limited to holiday season, Oktoberfest, and Christmas market season), higher deposit requirements may apply.
- Once final payment has been received, the trip becomes 100% non-refundable.
Refunds (if applicable) are subject to supplier terms and may incur processing fees.
- Accommodation & Third-Party Suppliers
Journeys2Germany works with independent hotels, transportation providers, and local partners.
- Each supplier has its own terms and conditions
- Supplier policies may override parts of these Terms
- Journeys2Germany is not responsible for supplier actions, delays, or changes
- Events Beyond Our Control
Journeys2Germany is not liable for disruptions caused by events beyond control, including but not limited to:
- Weather conditions
- Natural disasters
- Strikes
- Government restrictions
- Pandemics
- War or civil unrest
In such cases, reasonable efforts will be made to reschedule or substitute services.
- Travel Insurance
Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended.
Standard policies typically cover specific events such as:
- Serious illness or injury
- Death of traveler or immediate family member
Claims require proper documentation and must be handled directly with the insurance provider.
Journeys2Germany is not responsible for losses due to lack of insurance coverage.
- Client Responsibilities
Clients are responsible for:
- Reviewing all documents and itineraries for accuracy
- Ensuring valid passports, visas, and entry requirements
- Meeting health and vaccination requirements
Journeys2Germany is not responsible for denied travel due to incomplete documentation.
- Liability
Journeys2Germany acts as an intermediary between clients and service providers.
We are not liable for:
- Acts or omissions of third-party suppliers
- Travel delays or cancellations
- Loss of luggage or personal belongings
- Indirect or consequential damages
- Transportation
Journeys2Germany is not responsible for delays or disruptions related to:
- Flights, trains, ferries, or other transportation
- Traffic conditions
- Mechanical issues or strikes
- Privacy
Client information is used solely for the purpose of planning and booking travel services.
Personal data may be shared with suppliers where necessary to fulfill bookings.
- Acceptance of Terms
By submitting a deposit and signing the agreement, the client acknowledges and agrees to these Terms and Conditions.
- Severability
If any part of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect.
